Technical Questions

The maximum file size for uploads is 10MB. If your image is larger than this, you may need to compress it first before uploading.

Maintaining aspect ratio means keeping the proportional relationship between the width and height of your image. When this option is selected, your image won't be stretched or distorted when resized.

For example, if your original image is 1000×500 pixels (2:1 ratio) and you resize to 400 pixels wide with aspect ratio maintained, the height will automatically be set to 200 pixels to preserve the 2:1 ratio.

The quality setting affects the compression level of your resized image, particularly for JPEG and WEBP formats. A higher quality setting (closer to 100) will result in better image quality but larger file sizes. A lower quality setting will produce smaller files but may introduce compression artifacts.

For most purposes, a quality setting between 80-90 provides a good balance between image quality and file size.

Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble uploading an image, please check the following:

  • Make sure your image is in a supported format (JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WEBP)
  • Check that your file size is under 10MB
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  • Try using a different browser or clearing your browser cache

If you continue to experience issues, please contact us for assistance.

If you're not satisfied with the quality of your resized image, try these tips:

  • Increase the quality setting (try 90-100 for highest quality)
  • Use PNG format instead of JPEG for graphics, screenshots, or images with text
  • Avoid extreme resizing (e.g., making a very small image much larger)
  • Make sure you're starting with a high-quality original image
  • Check that "maintain aspect ratio" is enabled to prevent distortion
